Corteo, the new production, runs November 11 through January 8, 2006 in the parking lot at PacBell Park. Koenig, took a liking to Chris at a recent party and graciously offered a free subscription of the magazine to the Suites – look for it soon … the in-suite guest books have been updated and now feature a NEW walking tour from Mr. and Mrs. Ohanneson … great suggestion for a medical practice that makes house calls (located a few blocks away): Dr. Jordan Shlain is Medical Director of San Francisco On Call Medical Group. A board-certified, Georgetown-educated San Francisco native, he sits on the board of the San Francisco Medical Society and is an assistant clinical professor at the UCSF Medical Center. His father is the well-known surgeon and writer Dr. Leonard Shlain of California Pacific Medical Center … look for the 2005 pre-Broadway premieres of the musicals “Lestat” (by Elton John and Bernie Taupin, based on the best-selling Anne Rice trilogy of nail-biters) and “Ring of Fire” (the Johnny Cash musical) to join returning favorites “Wicked”, “Annie” and “White Christmas” … San Francisco Symphony opening night is September 8; season includes performances by violinist Joshua Bell and the pianist/sisters Katia and Marielle Labèque; expect bows from conductors Vladimir Ashkenazy, Herbert Blomstedt and Mstislav Rostropovich in the season as well … Opening night at the San Francisco Opera is September 10; Rossini's wonderful “The Italian Girl In Algiers” featuring diva Olga Borodina; scheduled season highlights include
